Where is the Doll Hospital located? Suzanne's Doll Hospital is located in central Ohio. Hardin County, Ohio to be exact Suzanne does her doll repair work in her home and has done so for a number of years. How long have you been online? The Doll Cupboard went online in 2007 but our vendors are not new to the business as they have been making and selling doll clothes and doing doll repair for a number of years at craft shows and the like.
How often is the web site updated? We are continually adding and updating inventory, helps, free information and more daily.
Do you sell on EBAY? Yes, we try to list a combination of dolls, clothing, shoes and accessories as well as other consignment items frequently.
How do I go about purchasing off of the web site? We prefer to run payments through using PayPal as it is safe and fast. We can accept orders over the phone, but 10 business days after recieving check payment is required to clear payment before we will ship order. Another option is to order over the phone and then send payment through PayPal. PayPal is a free service to buyers.
Will I be charged sales tax? Yes, but in Ohio only. The current sales tax rate being 7%.
How do I pay with a credit card? If you purchase from the website, it will automatically process the payment through PayPal. You enter your account information on their secure site and they will then pay us. We will have no access to your credit card information.
How will the order be packaged & shipped? We take care in shipping all of our products. If it is breakable, we will use bubble-wrap. Clothing is placed in a zip-lock bag for protection from any possible moisture and then placed in a large envelope. Hats that can be crushed will be shipped in a box to prevent such a thing from happening.
Are EBAY items shipped the same way? What about doll clothing? Because most of the items offered on EBAY are AS-IS, they are typically shipped via US First Class and single-boxed. This keeps the shipping price low, however, if the item on EBAY is particularly valuable and/or fragile, it will be shipped via US Priority Mail and include Shipping Insurance. Doll clothing is usually shipped in a US First-class envelope or box, unless it is requested to ship Priority Mail or Overnight Do you ship orders outside of the United States? Yes, we will ship to Canada as well. If you want something shipped elsewhere, please contact us and we will look into it on a per situation basis. How much does shipping cost? Shipping costs vary depending on your location and how the item is shipped.
Will my package be insured? Insurance is optional , though it is always advisable. The Doll Cupboard is not responsible for any damage incurred during shipping if you opt not to have your package insured. What guarantee do I have that the item is as described? The Doll Cupboard does it's utmost to relate an item just as it is. As we are still fairly new, we are striving to build a reputation for honesty and integrity. In the unlikely event that an item is found to be at odds with its description, the item may be returned to The Doll Cupboard within ten days of original shipping date for a full refund minus shipping expenses. If you purchased an item from The Doll Cupboard off of the web site, and that item is found to be at odds with its description, you may return it within ten days of original shipping date for a full refund minus shipping expenses. When did you start selling doll related items? I started The Doll Cupboard in 2006 at age 32. My goal is to make this website a viable second income for my family and I. Where do you live? I live in Lewistown, Ohio with my husband and 4 children. The Doll Cupboard is currently based in my home while the Doll Hospital is at a seperate location in Kenton, Ohio. Is selling doll clothing and accessories the only thing that you do for a living? Yes. I am a stay-at-home mother and The Doll Cupboard is my sole enterprise while my husband is my "sound board".
Do you accept items on consignment? I do on an individual per situation basis. Please contact me if you would like to do so. How do I go about buying an item off of the web site? You are not required to process the order online, but I do require payment via PayPal as it is the fastest and safest form of payment available to me at this time. Personal checks are acceptable but would require a ten-day waiting period for the check to clear before shipping the order.
Will I be charged sales tax? We are only required to collect sales tax on orders shipped to the state of Ohio. All other orders will not be charged sales tax. Ohio state sales tax is 7 percent. Do you accept Credit Cards? Yes, you can purchase with a credit card through PayPal at no additional expense to you as a buyer. Do you have gift certificates? Yes, you can purchase a gift certificate in any amount from The Doll Cupboard.
